In celebration of the Coronation of our new Monarch, King Charles III, Oliver Goldsmith will be releasing a collection of limited-edition CARL sunglasses; a frame historically worn by his Majesty.

Oliver Goldsmith are proud to have graced the faces of many members of the Royal Family.  It is an important part of our historic make-up, from Princess Caroline of Hanover, Princess Grace of Monaco (Grace Kelly) and of course to our British monarchy; Princess Margaret, Lord Snowdon, Princess Diana and Prince Charles – soon to be, King Charles III.

‘Carl’ is one of OG’s most iconic and notable designs from the archive. A wonderfully heavy-set aviator that exudes seventies cool. Carl is great on both men and women and is the epitome of classic retro style. With only 20 limited edition pieces available to purchase, it’s a fantastic opportunity to mark the occasion and invest in a piece of British history.

King Charles III famously wore the ‘Carl’ on many of his Royal visits around the globe with the late Princess Diana.  They are pictured here in their matching safari suits on their visit to Brazil in April 1991– Princess Diana is also wearing Oliver Goldsmith, an archival frame called ‘Monaco’.  Carl was originally designed in 1967, proof that this piece had been part of his sunglass collection for many years.
